Black eyed children

Introduction

Black eyed kids or BEKs are a supernatural phenomenon that originated in Abilene, Texas. No one knows who they are, what they are, or where they’re from  Probably because they were too scared to ask. The black eyed children are children that appear to be between the ages of 6 and 16. They look like normal children with outdated clothes, until you see their eyes- solid black. No iris, no sclera, no pupil, just black. Sometimes the children are seen in old fashion clothes, or with clothing for the wrong season. Some report them as being unnaturally pale. In very rare cases they were reported to have strange webbed feet. They are suspected to be demons, aliens, or bearers of bad news, but no one really knows what they are, or why they target humans.

Brian Bethal

The oldest dated report comes from the late 1980s and a man called Brian Bethal. It was late one night and Bethal had pulled into a movie theater parking lot to fill out a check. Right when he was getting ready to leave two young boys appeared at his car door. The boys appeared to be around 13 years old and they were barefoot. It was strange for such young kids to be by themselves but Bethal opened his window anyway, as the boys looked harmless.

“May I help you?” Bethal asked the children.

“Hi mister,” One said. “We forgot our money at home and we need to get it if we want to see the movie tonight. Could you give us a ride to our moms house?”

Part of Bethal wanted to comply, to help these boys get home, but another part was telling him to get away, to run. Ignoring it, Bethal went to unlock the door but then he saw it. The kids' eyes were solid black. Terrified, Bethal went to scream but the younger boy interrupted.

“Come on mister, we’re just a couple of boys. We can’t come in unless you let us. Let us in.”

“We don’t got a gun,” the other added, almost implying that they didn’t need one.

Scared out of his mind Bethal drove away from the theater. Never stopping there again. That was the first and last time that Brian Bethal saw the Black Eyed Kids.

Cannock Chase

While that was the first known report that referred to them as black eyed children, around the same time a small town in Staffordshire known as Cannock Chase had found a black eyed ghost. 1981 had been a good year for the town of Staffordshire, until the first sighting. A young girl had been appearing in a bar constantly. While a young child in a bar was strange enough, she was also reported to have black sunken eyes. At first she was thought to be a demon, but after she started disappearing through the walls she became known as the black eyed ghost. Cannock Chase had already been known as a paranormal spot. The pigman was found here, and alien sightings were numerous. Really, no one knows about this mysterious black eyed child but in 1982 an 18 year old girl had a very odd encounter with her.

The story was reported by her nephew Lee Brickley and goes something like this: Lee’s aunt had been out for a run when she stumbled upon a dirt trail. While walking it she caught sight of a young girl running in the opposite direction screaming “Help Mummy, Help”.  She immediately called out to the girl but the girl continued to run. After running after the girl for quite a while she finally turned back to look at Lee’s aunt. The girl appeared to be around seven years old and she had -you guessed it- stone black eyes. Lee’s aunt ran straight home and never saw the girl again. After a few years the girl disappeared. No more black eyed ghosts - until a few months ago.

A woman and her daughter were walking through Birches Valley when they suddenly heard a child screaming. They ran in the direction desperate to make sure the child was okay. They found nothing. They stopped searching and took a minute to stand where they were. The woman turned around and was startled to see a young girl standing behind her, covering her eyes.  “ I asked if she was okay and if she had been the one screaming. She then put down her arms at her side and opened her eyes, which is when I saw that they were completely black.” She reported shakily. The woman grabbed her daughter and rushed home.  So… Is the black eyed ghost back?

Come On In

One older couple made the mistake of letting the children in. The couple remained nameless in the report so it’s hard to get more information on the case, but the few articles out there have some pretty scary information on what happened. A woman heard a knock at her door and when she answered it two young kids were there. They had very androgynist looks so she couldn’t quite figure out if they were male or female. The children looked calm as they asked to come inside.

“Hi there Miss, we’re waiting for our parents to come pick us up. Could we come inside?”

When she was about to say no her husband yelled “Let them in. Come in.”

The children smiled and came inside, and once inside removed their sunglasses to reveal those terrible eyes - black as can be. The couple were scared but simply couldn't bring themselves to turn down children in need. While the children were there the power went out and their cats were nowhere to be seen. After around an hour a black van pulled into the driveway and the children left saying “Thank you” and politely smiling. The couple never saw the children again. Their power came back on after the kids left and their cats appeared.

While the children seemed to be gone, the couple still experienced strange things like cats disappearing or terrible bloody noses. The husband even became very sick for an entire week after their visit. The children did almost no harm to the couple though. Why? Maybe they aren’t as even as we thought.

Conclusion

You have to think about this kind of thing before you decide to believe it. I kept thinking and thinking and this is what I ended up with - the children exist. They may have disappeared for a few years but in 2021 the peak in sightings shows that they have returned. Nobody knows what they want. Here I have written about the two biggest cases but there are hundreds more. Some obviously made up but others the kind of thing that can’t be from the imagination. Some people let the kids in. Some people moved away in fear. But what will you do when you hear a knock followed by the words “Let us in”?

Yours,

The girl with no name

Why I write

I started a blog over the summer. For five months it only had 5 viewers, and I was okay with that. I continued to write everyday even though I was never sure if my articles would even be read. Then all of a sudden, around my birthday, I checked the page views and suddenly it was at 140 viewers. I couldn't believe it. My blog has always been kind of dumb in a way, but I wrote about what I felt was important hence all the emo and Twilight stuff. I’ve always written a lot, whether it was a story, a poem, or a new song. I listen to a lot of music but I might write even more. I recently started playing guitar so that I can write chords to go with my lyrics. I play a lot of instruments too, maybe 5 or 6. I’ve always kind of wanted to start a blog but I never had a reason to, and especially not enough time. Then when I started to be homeschooled I finally had time to write. Now I have a lot of people that check out my blog. It's always kinda weird for me to think about that. Thank you to anyone who is reading this for your support.

new music

Yesterday Falling In Reverse released a new song titled “Zombified”, which is about the pandemic and the government telling us lies about it.

“We’re traumatized by the damage done,

“Welcome to America,”

The song almost follows the same idea as  “American Idiot” by Green Day. Green Day's song says that America is full of lies and propaganda.

“I’m not a part of the redneck agenda,

“Now everybody do the propaganda.”

“Zombified” is the first single of the new album Falling In Reverse is going to release this year, and they are just as talented as ever. Fans are super excited to see the new album become a part of 2022’s emo revival. I love the new single and it's really cool to see how other people are experiencing the pandemic. If you are interested in this kind of music about the government you should try “We Don’t Believe What's On TV” by Twenty ๐Ÿ›‡ne Pilots.

In other news Happy 2022! MCR is touring soon, Avril Lavigne just released 4 versions of her new song and Motionless in white is getting ready to release new music.

    Stay Emo,

    Darkest Angel

Music Recommendations

I listen to a lot of music. Some of my favorite bands are Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy and Nirvana. Other than those bands I listen to a ton of solo artists like Johnnie Gilbert, billie eilish, carolsdaughter, and Melanie Martinez. Out of all the songs that I listen to there is one lyric that I really love.

“Call me on the weekend,

  Like we’re all good,

Like nothing matters,

‘Cause no one's heart was shattered.”

This song is called “All My Friends Are Dead” by Johnnie Guilbert and it's about that one toxic friend that we all have. It's about a person who has countless times tried to hurt you mentally or physically but then just comes back like you’re best friends. I’ve had a lot of friends like this, and I like that this song addresses the problem. Another song I love that has the same topic is “Maniac” by Conan Gray. Conan Gray has a lot of songs that focus on this topic and I love them all. The topic of someone being toxic is usually used as a joke and I hate that. These songs are serious about it.

I also listen to a lot of breakup songs, which is kinda weird since I’ve been in a relationship, haha. My favorite breakup songs right now are “Heartbreak Honeymoon”, “Checkmate”, and “I don’t like you”. I don’t know if you’ve heard of Grace Vanderwall, but she’s a super talented 17 year old music artist. She won America’s Got Talent when she was only thirteen years old.

Life with fangs
